It would be advisable to refer to your rights based on the following paragraphs, guidelines, or recommendations:

1.2.1 Directive on Patient Mobility 2011/24/EU (Right to reimbursement of costs for an aid purchased in another EU country. This applies to both private and statutory insurance holders.)
Statutory insurance holders do not need to switch their insurance coverage to reimbursement.
1.2.2 § 13 Abs. 4 Satz 1 SGB V (Social Code)
1.2.3 Recommendation of the GKV-Spitzenverband & DVKA from 19.11.2003 as amended on 18.03.2008
The full title is: Joint Recommendation of the Leading Associations of Health Insurance Companies and the German Liaison Office for Health Insurance Abroad on questions of the implementation of the GKV Modernization Act and the Contractual Physician Rights Amendment Act regarding cost reimbursement according to § 13 Abs. 4 – 6 SGB V and cost coverage for treatment outside the scope of the Treaty on the Establishment of the European Community and the Agreement on the European Economic Area according to § 18 SGB V (dated November 19, 2003 as amended on March 18, 2008).
Content: Within the framework of the law to modernize statutory health insurance (GMG), the amended § 13 SGB V has generally granted all insured persons the option, from January 1, 2004, to utilize service providers in other member states of the European Community as well as in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA) through reimbursement.
Within the framework of new regulations by the Contractual Physician Rights Amendment Act and other laws (Contractual Physician Rights Amendment Act – VÄndG), the German legislator has extended this option from January 1, 2007, to the states where Regulation (EEC) No. 1408/71 applies. The regulations therefore also apply to Switzerland.
The leading associations of health insurance companies, together with the German Liaison Office for Health Insurance Abroad (DVKA), provide this joint recommendation as guidance for a uniform application of the law in the practice of statutory health insurance.

What is the extent of the health insurance coverage?

The subsidy from health insurance companies depends on your specific insurance. Please contact your health insurance company to find out the fixed amount they will pay.

Does Best Price Hearing apply for reimbursement from the health insurance companies?

No, you must apply for reimbursement yourself. Best Price Hearing does not submit applications to health insurance companies. However, we will provide you with the necessary documents.

If you send an email or letter to your health insurance company to inquire about their fixed amount, you must wait for a response. The waiting time varies depending on the insurance company and can be between 15 and 30 days. Therefore, we recommend contacting your health insurance company as soon as possible.

Which health insurance companies cover Best Price Hearing?

While Best Price Hearing is not a contract partner of statutory health insurance companies, you may be entitled to a subsidy depending on your insurance policy, especially if you are privately insured.

What if my health insurance does not approve the subsidy?

Even if your health insurance does not approve the subsidy, we want to point out that our prices remain extremely attractive even without the subsidy. In many cases, our prices are still cheaper than those of your local hearing aid provider.
